Most of our calls come from Poway itself and the ring of communities around it - Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Encantada, Rancho Bernardo, Sabre Springs, Rancho Penasquitos, 4S Ranch, Miramar Ranch North, Black Mountain Ranch, and Torrey Highlands, all within about eight miles. We also get out to Eucalyptus Hills, Ramona, Fairbanks Ranch, and Rancho Santa Fe, and as far as Lakeside, Winter Gardens, and Bostonia when the job calls for it.
The housing stock across these 21 named areas is mostly 1960s-70s construction, which means a lot of original garage door tracks, aging torsion springs, and openers that have outlived their factory warranty by a long way. Across the service area there are roughly 93,658 households, about 46,214 of them owner-occupied houses with an attached or detached garage - that's the bulk of our work, not condos or commercial roll-ups. Median household income here runs around $118,431, which tends to mean owners replace a worn-out opener or spring set before it fails completely rather than running it to total breakdown, so a fair number of our jobs are planned maintenance rather than emergency calls.
